1: a carnival performer often billed as a wild man whose act usually includes biting the head off a live chicken or snake
2: a person often of an intellectual bent who is disliked
3: an enthusiast or expert especially in a technological field or activity <computer geek>
...We only mean Option #1 probably 40% of the time when we use "geek speak." Mostly we're referring to "geeked" which is 1984 slang for "filled with excitement or enthusiasm."
The Evercave-Dwellers are ALWAYS 1984 geeked about football, comics, heroics, adventure, coffee, and babies playing with Ipads (okay, we're equally geeked and freaked by that last one).
